Danijela in Katowice

Experience: Danijela Drobnjak

At the beginning of February, I applied for participation in the project “Strong together – across the border” which started with online meetings where we discussed different topics. All the topics were discussed in more detail in Katowice, which was the final but also the most beautiful part of this project. The visit lasted from July 4 to 10, during which we had the opportunity to exchange opinions with participants from different countries and visit the surrounding towns. In Katowice, we were accommodated in a hotel located in the largest city park in Poland (Park Šląski), so we were surrounded by beautiful nature, a zoo, an amusement park and a stadium.

Given that the goal of the project is to increase the involvement of young people in the local, national and European community, we had the opportunity to learn more about the functioning of the city committee of Katowice and the social projects implemented by the city.

The workshops were interactive, which certainly gives a better understanding of the topics and greater involvement of the participants. Through various activities, we had the opportunity to present our country with all current challenges, but also to present potential solutions that we, as young people, would propose. In addition to all the mentioned activities, we also had free time, which we used to visit Krakow, Katowice, and also to socialize and have fun with the other participants. I think that Erasmus programs are a great opportunity, because in addition to meeting young people from other countries with whom we exchange experiences, we also have the opportunity to meet other cultures, traditions, music and food. Certainly, thanks to the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro, I had the opportunity to be part of the program, and I returned home richer for a nice experience, friendships and with the desire to participate in similar programs again.
