NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro (m!M) organized the fourth workshop on the basics of marketing and digital marketing as a means to improve business, as part of the project “Through business to equality”, on July 13 and 14, 2020 in the hotel “Del Medio” in Sutomore. The project is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
Women entrepreneurs, as well as volunteers of the organization attended the workshop. On the day one of the workshop, the president of the NGO Mladiiinfo Montenegro, Milica Žugić, introduced the participants to marketing in general, but also to the product and service. During the lecture, Žugić presented the differences between advertising and marketing, defined what the product includes, what is brand, product distribution, what to pay attention to when it comes to price as well as promotion, i.e. how to create the best image for the product which is being marketed. During the workshop, they also talked about promotions, discounts, giveaways, PR, sponsorships, direct marketing and its advantages and disadvantages.
On the day two of the workshop, lecture was given by Anđela Đokić, a lecturer in the field of marketing and tourism management specialists and she discussed digital marketing. In the first part, the entrepreneurs presented their business ideas, and then Anđela talked about presenting and promoting her own business to the public and the target audience, using channels and market analysis, as well as creating communities.
In the second part, she talked about the use of social networks for small and medium-sized businesses. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the better use of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube in order to promote their business and create a community. Đokić explained the advantages of using these social networks as well as the basics of management – what is good and what should be avoided. In addition, the participants were given the opportunity through the workshop to learn how to make advertisements on social networks, as well as other important things for the purpose of a more successful business. At the end, the participants were asking questions and they received practical and useful tips for working on their ideas.
