Thanks to the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro, I had the opportunity to represent Montenegro and be part of the “Becoming Digitally Conscious” project, which was held in Herceg Novi from October 31 to November 6, 2022. In addition to representatives from Montenegro, young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Italy, Germany and Cyprus participated in the project.
Through interactive workshops, we had the opportunity to learn more about the process of digitization of society, the impact of technological innovations on education and the teaching process, as well as the consequences of excessive use of digital devices. There was also talk about safety on the Internet, the dangers that lurk and the ways in which we can adequately protect ourselves. We discussed how young people can create healthy digital habits and properly use all the benefits that digitalization offers. After we covered all the topics, a debate was organized on the advantages and disadvantages of digitization, which was particularly interesting because we could hear different views and experiences. We also learned how to organize a high-quality workshop, how the entire process goes from choosing a topic to selecting participants and choosing a methodology, which will be extremely useful in our future work.
The workshops were accompanied by various games and energizers, which allowed us to maintain concentration, relax and get to know each other better. Also, each participating country had the opportunity to present their culture, traditional food, dance and music through an intercultural evening. It was a wonderful way to learn something new about each country and get closer to each other. Also, it is worth mentioning the unforgettable cruise through Boka bay and the positive energy that marked this gathering.
I believe that projects of this type are an excellent opportunity because they offer young people the opportunity to learn something new, meet different cultures, travel and gain invaluable experience. It was a great pleasure for me to be a part of the project and that is why I use this opportunity to thank the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro for the great opportunity and trust.
