Representatives of the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro participated in a training on communication strategies for including young people with dyslexia in youth organizations, held from June 11-14, 2024, in Sarajevo. The training was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “VT4Y – Visual Thinking 4 Youth.”
The goal of the training was to develop a manual adapted for individuals with dyslexia. Through various group activities, participants prepared content and conceptualized the design of the manual. The participants came from diverse fields, each contributing in their own way. The activities covered principles of communication, visual thinking, and design proposals for the manual, all through active participation and discussions.
The first training within this project took place in Podgorica and focused on dyslexia and visual thinking, while the training in Sarajevo built upon this foundation. For this reason, most participants already had prior knowledge of dyslexia and visual thinking, which they utilized to create the manual’s content.
The “Visual Thinking 4 Youth” project aims to promote the social inclusion of young people with dyslexia aged 13 to 19 through visual thinking, which involves conveying and presenting ideas using simple and easily recognizable images.
In September, the third training will be held in Tirana, where participants will create a video course.
