Željka Nedović as a representative of the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro in the period from 20th till 24th June 2020 had the opportunity to participate in the Seminar on Anti-Discrimination in Čanj, organized by Mladiinfo Montenegro, within the project “Greater Tolerance – Less Discrimination”.
At the very beginning, I must emphasize that I really liked the concept of the seminar because it consisted of a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, we had the opportunity to get acquainted with the terms of discrimination and anti-discrimination, passive and active behavior that constitutes discrimination, discriminated groups, human rights, and how we can reduce discrimination as active members of society. The theory was accompanied by practical work, which is extremely important because through various group tasks and games we were able to become aware of the difficulties that members of discriminated groups face.
I am especially pleased that the seminar was accompanied by the active participation of all participants, that the importance of the topic was recognized, as well as the fact that young people are increasingly recognizing the importance of social activism. Also, I must emphasize that the team of participants was really great and that we functioned as a real team, which greatly contributed to the team-building activities.
My experiences are more than positive and I hope that, although this is my first activity with this organization – it will not be the last, and that we will cooperate in some future period through some similar programs.
At the same time, I encourage young people to follow the activities of Mladiinfo Montenegro and to participate in them in accordance with their interests.
