The representatives of the NGO MladiInfo Montenegro, after already completing the initial training, participated in a more detailed training for career counseling and mentoring as part of the project “Nurturing The World Can Be a Job,” held on July 20th and 21st in Podgorica.
Through this training, they have further enhanced their skills and are now fully equipped to work with young people and NGOs, providing support in career guidance and mentor training, as well as directing youth towards internships in the NGO sector.
The project aims to strengthen the capacities of NGOs in the Western Balkans and support young people, especially those from vulnerable groups, in finding career paths while promoting the NGO sector as a potential employer. MladiInfo Montenegro is the national support point for this project.
The first day of training, held at Mtel Digital Factory, focused on in-depth methods of career counseling. The participants expanded their knowledge of tools and techniques that use visual methods, such as Dixit cards, clay, and drawings, to help candidates discover their abilities, potentials, and goals through creative processes.
The second day centered on mentorship, with a more profound analysis of the mentor’s role. The characteristics of a good mentor were examined, with particular emphasis on adapting to the different needs of candidates.
The training concluded with the creation of a plan for the further development of the project, outlining specific steps for the implementation of mentor training, career counseling, and internships.
