NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro is looking for one participant to participate in the project “Barrier Detectives”. It is a six-month paid internship through the ASA program, which begins on April 1 and ends on September 30, and all six months will be in Montenegro, in the offices of the NGO Mladiinfo. A monthly fee of € 220 is provided.

The project is being implemented in Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany.
The Barrier Detectives project will have several phases:
1) Preparatory meeting (April 1, 2021): It will be held online. This conference will include not only ASA participants (interns), but also project managers from partner organizations and potential group leaders. This meeting is intended to get to know each other and discuss the overall management of the project.
2) Preparation phase (April, May): Setting the project plan and division of tasks; working with people with disabilities (visual, auditory, motor) to identify architectural barriers for people with disabilities, conducting research on accessibility checks that already exist; advertising for the project and for participation; searching for media contacts and presentations on social networks; planning and preparation of the first international project meeting for training “Barrier Detectives”).
3) Training (May 19 – 25, option to postpone for June): If possible, this would be a physical meeting in Germany, interns would be part of the national group coming to the meeting; but training can take place in digital or hybrid mode (hybrid can mean that national groups will meet in their country in one place and communicate with other groups via online conference tools); the task of the intern within this training: documentation (photography, video, written), public relations, media, but also building good relations with other participants.
4) Implementation phase: during the summer months (June – August), “detectives” will check accessibility in their hometowns (residence) to check the accessibility of public places, buildings, services, etc. ASA participants will support them (in their country, either physically or digitally) by collecting results. It will also help plan and prepare for the second international project meeting and social media campaign to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
5) International meeting in Sarajevo and Podgorica (September 10 – 23): This will be held as a physical meeting. ASA participants would be part of the national group coming to the meeting; the task of ASA participants within this training: documentation, public relations, media; support for public events in both cities.
6) Assessment, documentation of finishing (last week of September) can be done online.
