19 teams join BoostMeUp startup program

BoostMeUp, the pre-accelerator program to launch Montenegrin startups into business orbit, has entered the second phase. Among the 47 teams initially enrolled, 19 have joined Bootcamp, which will work with renowned innovation experts from regionally and Europe-recognized experts over the next few days.

The young, creative, talented and innovative people gathered by the BoostMeUp program are the future of Montenegro’s innovative and business environment. Thanks to the startup ideas they have offered and whose development will be intensively worked on in the coming period, this future is very near and certain. The ideas relate to energy, tourism, agriculture, ecology, ICT and are geared towards the digitization of society in strategically key areas, which in these circumstances proves to be one of the imperatives at the global level. Circumstances caused by the pandemic of the coronal virus have changed working conditions, so BoostMeUp teams take advantage of the #ostanidoma concept and present projects through the Zoom application. Nevertheless, the dynamics and work plan remain unchanged, so 19 teams with their mentors will virtually seamlessly present, develop and direct projects towards their final realization. At the end of Bootcamp, another selection round will be made, the result of which will be the first generation of the pre-accelerator program. She will undergo a multi-month training program and master seven key modules:

-Development and validation of a business idea;

-Development of products, services and markets;

-Management of business project;

-Marketing, market research and analysis

-Pitching skills – presentation skills;

-Financial management;

– Protecting Intellectual Property.

The first BoostMeUp generation, after training, will have the opportunity to participate in the Western Balkan Startup Forum 2020 and present their ideas to successful entrepreneurs and regional business angels, as well as to receive infrastructure and financial support of 4,500 euros each.

The national program aimed at the development of Montenegro’s innovative ecosystem is implemented by IPC Tehnopolis, Science and Technology Park and the company “Amplitudo” sponsored by the Ministry of Science of Montenegro.
