As in previous years, this year NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro (m!M) took part as a partner in holding the cultural and artistic event “Festival of International Alternative Theater” (FIAT). Volunteers of the organization participated in the accompanying activities on the occasion of organizing the event. During the nine-day project, volunteers were engaged in handing out posters as well as fulfilling the obligations of all present regarding the measures imposed due to the virus pandemic.
The Festival of International Alternative Theater – FIAT has existed for more than 30 years and is one of the largest and most important cultural events in Montenegro. The festival arose out of a desire to create a new space for the exchange and association of artistic values and ideas and the need to explore and treat contemporary ideas and push the boundaries of theater, tearing down existing models of theatrical expression and devising new ones.
One of the important characteristics of the festival is the promotion and encouragement of cultural exchange, cooperation and mobility of artists both regionally and internationally. Every year, the audience has the opportunity to follow the rich program of FIAT, from the official competitive theater selection with specific focuses, to accompanying programs with emphasis on fine arts, film, music, literature and contemporary creative industries.
