Representatives of the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro participated in the youth exchange in Tikocin, Poland, from June 13. until 20.06.2024. years. The topic of the exchange was democracy. The organizer of the project was the NGO Youth Human Impact from Poland, and the slogan of the entire project was “The power is in your hands!”.
The countries that participated in this project were: Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Portugal, Poland and Georgia. The project aimed to increase participants’ knowledge of basic issues related to the democratic system, as well as to raise awareness of the key influence that young people have on democratic life. Also, this project wanted to show how young people can create and influence their own future in society through involvement in democratic life and taking social initiatives. The entire project was permeated with a series of activities so that the participants would talk about democracy through various aspects of life. Every day started with a team building game to ensure good energy for other activities. The end of each day was reserved for an intercultural evening, when we listened to interesting facts about the countries that were part of the project. On the first day, we talked about the state of democracy in the countries that participated in the project. The next day was reserved for the media. Then came the most exciting and tense day when the elections of the parties made up of the participants were held. On the other days, some other topics related to youth and democracy were covered, and as a final task, we created a game that will help young people get to know politics better. The project ended with the awarding of certificates, after which the organizer once again addressed everyone and thanked them for their active participation and contribution.
The exchange was organized within the project “(Demo)cracy – the power is in You(r)th Hands”, which was financed through the Erasmus plus program.
