NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro marked the World Health Day on 7 April with a voluntary campaign in the Independence Square.
Traditionally on this day, members and volunteers of the organization shared health advice messages. The campaign was conducted in order to inform citizens about healthy lifestyles and to show them the importance of health care. Also, our fellow citizens measured blood pressure, blood sugar level and body weight.
In the period from 1 pm to 4 pm , over forty citizens were examined free of charge, they also received advice on how to improve their health. Our fellow citizens have reminded us how much health is important and that they should frequently visit the doctors and perform routine controls. This prevents the progression of the disease. Those who regularly visit their chosen doctors did not want to carry out examinations, but they certainly took a message with a tip.
The action was supported by a pharmacy from Podgorica, which donated a blood glucose monitor for this event.
