m!M marked the World Humanitarian Day

On the occasion of the World Humanitarian Day, November 23, NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro (m!M) published a video on its YouTube channel and social networks in which our volunteers said what humanity is for them and why it is important to be humane.

We also launched an action to help the Mihajlović family from the village of Zagrađe near Berane to finish the house. We have already done a fundraising campaign for them, but when we visited them and saw the conditions in which they live, without electricity, they do not have the money to complete the construction of the house, the parents are sick, the children are small, we decided to try to help them. After our action, the show Dnevnica joined in, so they helped them together with the Municipality of Berane, and what we are doing now is communicating with businessmen from that city to help them finish and equip the house. We hope to succeed in that.

Also, something we have been working on for a couple of months now is starting a foundation. Since there are many people who need help and sometimes the problem is that they do not have a bank account, there are a lot of scams, and an even bigger problem is that it is difficult to reach citizens, find people to help them, we decided to create a humanitarian foundation m!M Humanity.

World Humanitarian Day, November 23, was symbolically the day when we submitted the documentation for the establishment of a humanitarian foundation that will function within the organization. We are also working on creating a website humanost.me. This is the idea with which our volunteers signed up for Upshift workshops and won an award for creating a site where we will publish stories about families, single parents, individuals, everyone who needs help and thus we will inform the general public and be able to help larger number of people and we appeal to others to help them. The site should be ready by the end of the year.
