Active Citizenship Fund (FAKT) supported by the US Embassy Podgorica organised a Forum of Civil Society Organisations, with the aim of strengthening the dialogue between different social actors on strengthening the influence of civil society organisations, attended by a representative of the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro.The event took place on 24th October in Podgorica and is also the final event within the programme “For a stronger voice of civil society organisations”, which was financially supported by the US Embassy.
The Forum was opened by the Director of the Fund for Active Citizenship Anica Maja Boljevic, who spoke about the goal of strengthening the influence of civil society and contributing to positive social and democratic change, as well as priority areas. She also spoke about the financial support programme for civil society organisations-OGD and through two call programmes, supported 16 organisations totaling 140,000 dollars.
“Such programmes, which reach out to organisations operating at the local level, are very important because they enable the voice of citizens to be heard better and stronger, and at the same time to strengthen the links between institutions and organizations, with a common goal leading to the improvement of the quality of life of all citizens. , US Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke concluded in her address.
In the coming period, the Ministry of Public Administrations will work on strengthening monitoring capacities, strengthening partnerships, and in particular on enhancing quality and consulting with the non-governmental sector in order to achieve common interests in a faster and better way, said the Director General of the Directorate for Good Public Administration. and activities of non-governmental organizations Marija Hajdukovic. She also pointed out that there is an open competition for co-financing in the Ministry of Public Administration, which is open until 1st December 2019.
