NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro celebrated December 5 “Volunteers’ day”. On this occasion, they organized a workshop on the volunteering in premises of the Youth Center.
At the beginning of the workshop NGO, Mladiinfo Montenegro signed the Memorandum on cooperation with the Volunteers 2019 organization with the aim of promoting and encouraging the volunteerism among the youth. Coordinators of the Volunteering service prepared a program for volunteers where the youth participated from both organizations. In a creative and entertaining manner, around 20 participants got to know each other and exchanged their knowledge of volunteerism. They discussed the traits of volunteers and the motivation for volunteering. The definition of volunteers was made too: “A volunteer is a person, who voluntarily, and without money, help those who need that, and conducts activities with the aim of contributing to the community”. Motives for the volunteering were: socializing, high-quality spending of free time, assisting others, acquiring experience, self-confidence, meeting new people, cultures, travels. The company was over with the “psychiatrist” game which was interesting for all participants. The goal of the International volunteers’ day to make all volunteers’ activities visible at the local, national, and international levels.
