The representative of the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro, Valentina Danaj, held a workshop on media literacy and presented the manual for exposing fake news, which was created as a result of the project “SLAM: Structured Learning for Awareness in Media”. The workshop was organised on April 24, 2022, in High school of Economics “Mirko Vešović”.
Starting at 12 o’clock, the workshop started with a share of ideas about what media literacy actually represents. Later, through a thirty-minute lecture and discussion, participants were introduced to the concept of media literacy, fake news, how to recognize them and how to protect themselves from them, the concept of media freedom and familiarity with the difference between migrants and refugees. The SLAM project was presented through the presentation and its achievements so far were also presented. The workshop ended with presenting the manual with which participants can learn even more about this topic.
