Bozo Osmajlic as the leader of a network of volunteers of the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro participated in the TSD sports camp “Tadek – the volunteer”, which was held in the town Tscanska in Poland from June 26 to July 5, 2017.
“It is almost impossible to round up all the impressions I brought back from the beautiful town of Tšćanka, located not far from one of the largest cities in Poland in a few sentences. First of all, I want to point out that I was the leader of a group of volunteers from our country, Marija Boljević Aleksandra Marsenić, Marina Cvijović, Milena Jovicevic, Catherine Čarapić and Aleksandar Cvijovic, wonderful people and true friends who made this project a memorable one. If I again had the opportunity to choose people without a doubt that would be them. I owe gratitude to the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro and its president Milica Žugić whose selfless help in the organization and all the technical details helped all the way to the end in the best way. This project was an opportunity that allowed us to discover what the benefits of volunteering are and in how many different ways we can help people in the community, people with disabilities, children and all others who are in need of assistance. The sports camp is designed ideally, so all activities were organized in the best possible way. The camp was attended by volunteers from Spain, Portugal, Ukraine, and Poland. The connection between all the participants was felt immediately upon the arrival, and the high emotions and tears at the farewell only confirmed the feeling of belonging to the group and the project in just eight days.
The project helped me improve my leadership skills, improve my English skills to creatively and quickly make decisions, to learn about tolerance and understanding, and I learned a lot about the importance of volunteering. It is very difficult to list all the activities and events offered by such a project, so I invite all young people from Montenegro not to hesitate but to be part of such a project ” Osmajlic shared his impressions.
