A representative of the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro participated in the conference “Development of a cross-border network for cooperation of creative industries” – CREATIVE@CBC, which is part of the IPA cross-border cooperation program Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro. The conference was organized by the Association for Democratic Prosperity – ZID on October 28, 2020 in Podgorica.
The conference participants were representatives of the Ministry of Science of Montenegro, the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro, the Capital Podgorica, the Agency for economic development of Prijedor PREDA, the Sisak-Moslavacka county development Agency SIMORA, the Institute for entrepreneurship and economic development (IPER), Chamber of crafts and entrepreneurship of Montenegro, Upbeat Hub and European Network of innovative entrepreneurship centers The European Network of Living Labs.
In the introductory part of the conference, Branka Zizic, MA, Director General for innovation and technological development at the Ministry of Science and Petar Kovacevic, Independent Advisor for creative industries at the Ministry of Culture, spoke.
They reviewed the results achieved in the past three years in establishing a functional innovation system and review the implementation of creative hubs as an infrastructural stronghold for cultural and creative industries throughout Montenegro, as well as the observed results of the Creative Montenegro program.
The general manager of the capital, Marjan Juncaj, and the secretary of the Secretariat for entrepreneurship, Kemal Grbovic, spoke about the vision of the capital of Podgorica, as a city of innovations.
The project of the Institute for entrepreneurship and economic development “Development of cultural and creative industries as part of a sustainable economic sector in Montenegro” was also presented, supported by UNESCO, and the full meaning of the conference was given by representatives of startup 05 (“Opet”) by presenting their innovative solutions in using recycled waste to create urban furniture.
