The NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro (m!M) marked the International Literacy Day, September 8, this year as well. Volunteers of the organization organized actions in Niksic and Podgorica, and an online campaign was realized.
Volunteers of the organization in Niksic prepared a quiz with various language dilemmas, but also the most common mistakes. Random passers-by pulled out questions and answered them. For each correct answer, the participants received quotes from a famous writer as a reward. Fellow citizens reacted positively, they were very interested and cooperated with our volunteers.
In Podgorica, volunteers shared creatively created messages with an accompanying visual on the topic of the most common mistakes in writing. The action started at 5 pm on the town square in Pogorica. The citizens were positively surprised and were very happy to take part in the action of our organization.
An online campaign was also conducted. Starting at 1 pm, volunteers from Berane prepared “live” on the Instagram account of the organization @mladiinfomne on the topic of literacy, where participants had the opportunity to talk about the importance of literacy, the most common mistakes and ideas on how to improve and raise literacy in society. Throughout the day, numerous quotes and motivational messages could be found on the organization’s social networks, which were published with the aim of raising citizens’ awareness of the importance of literacy.
In addition to these actions, the NGO Mladiinfo Montenegro (m!M) took part in a radio show on the occasion of Literacy Day on Radio of Montenegro.
